Nolan Ryan — Original Cigar Band Portrait
3’ x 4’ (2015) Framed
This one-of-a-kind portrait of legendary pitcher Nolan Ryan was created entirely from reclaimed cigar bands and first exhibited in 2015 at an art show dedicated to Ryan at the Round Rock Express Stadium.
During the show, Nolan Ryan personally signed the piece, adding both his signature and career stats in light blue paint pen across his jersey. This authentic, signed artwork is both a tribute to baseball history and a showcase of meticulous craftsmanship.

Muhammad Ali — Original Cigar Band Portrait
24” x 28” • Framed • Completed September 2023
For years I knew this legendary moment of Muhammad Ali standing over Sonny Liston would be the perfect subject for cigar band art. In September 2023, I finally carved out the time to bring it to life.
Made entirely from reclaimed cigar labels, every strip of paper adds to the energy, grit, and history captured in this iconic image. Bold, powerful, and unmistakable — just like Ali himself.

On the Eighth Day
24” x 48” Framed (2020)
This rare, one-of-a-kind piece is my first—and only—commentary artwork. Created in response to the FDA’s proposal to remove cigar labels under the belief that they appealed to children, On the Eighth Day is my statement that a cigar is simply a cigar, and should not be overregulated as something more.
The imagery draws inspiration from the divine spark of creation, reimagined through cigar culture. As a tribute, the entire background is composed solely of My Father cigar labels, symbolizing God’s hand lighting our cigar. The hands themselves are built from a wide variety of labels, blending intricate details into a bold, striking composition.
I am not a political artist—I don’t usually aim to make statements with my work. My passion lies in exploring how far I can push details from unconventional, challenging mediums. That’s why this piece is especially rare: it is both deeply personal and entirely unique within my body of work.
For collectors, On the Eighth Day stands apart as an irreplaceable original—an intersection of craft, culture, and commentary unlike anything else I’ve created.

American Flag (First Edition)
24” x 36” • Framed
This is the very first American flag I ever created—a true original in every sense. Made entirely from reclaimed cigar bands, it set the stage for every flag I’ve crafted since. While I’ve gone on to create custom variations for collectors, this piece remains the inaugural work that started them all.
Each stripe and star is carefully assembled from cigar labels, celebrating both craftsmanship and culture while honoring a symbol that resonates deeply with so many. The balance of bold reds, clean whites, and vibrant blues makes it both patriotic and uniquely artistic—an unmistakable statement piece.
As the first in its lineage, this flag stands apart as a rare and foundational artwork in my collection.

Donkey Kong (8-Bit Edition)
16” x 20”
This piece marks the first time I invited my audience to help shape what I would create next. I asked my Instagram followers to vote on which nostalgic 8-bit video game character I should bring to life with cigar bands—and Donkey Kong came out on top.
Built piece by piece from hundreds of labels, I documented the entire process, sharing progress along the way and finally revealing the finished artwork in a time-lapse video. It became more than just a portrait—it was a shared creative experience with the people who follow and support my work.
As my first audience-participation piece, this Donkey Kong stands out as a playful blend of retro gaming culture and fine detail, making it both nostalgic and truly one-of-a-kind.
